When God Writes Your Love Story…

When God writes your love story it is usually a great tale to tell. This couple is no exception. It’s a mixture of friendship, forgiveness and ah ha moments. It’s’ been such a privilege to walk besides them as they went from friends, to dating, to engaged. I can’t wait to see what else God has planned as they say I do and become husband and wife. What a fun day to capture a couple I adore!

Proud

I could not be more proud of this young man. He is often found giving his time, energy and love to others. He is a team player in family, sports, and life. He is smart but not smug. He seemingly is unaware of how handsome he is. He is full of thought provoking, and humors conversation. He is busy, going here there and everywhere. However, in his busyness he is leaving each place he has been better then it was before he was there. His life is defined by brining his Savior glory in whatever he does. He is rather special guy, and I get to call him my nephew. It is rather mind boggling how it’s possible he is a senior and about to be leaning into adulthood. I truly enjoyed my few hours of uninterrupted time photographing him and capturing all that makes Carter remarkable.

Doll Baby

Ava is a doll baby. She is just gorgeous and a photographers dream. She is well loved by her older siblings and the treasure of her parents heart. I am predicting this is the start of her modeling career. What a joy it was to capture this beautiful gift of a girl in her first few weeks.

Faithfulness

When I got the call from my sister-in-law asking if I would be willing to take the trip to Iowa to photograph her extended family I did not even hesitate with a yes.  There are so many memories of my teen years wrapped up with this family and at this farm. I count it a blessing that I get to know my sister-in-law family so well. It was a pleasure to photograph each of there growing families. It was pleasure to get to catch up with each of her sisters for just a bit. It was even more pleasure to stop for a second when all 31 people were set for a photograph to praise God what He has done.  Randy and Becky have faithfully served God. They see so much fruit of that faithfulness wrapped into that gorgeous family.  It’s amazing to see how God has grown them from a family of 6 to one of 31. The Bradfield clan is a great reminder we have a good, good Father.

One of the Good Guys

We have the privilege to walk along side college students in our ministry. It’s an extraordinary  to see someone grow over their four years of college. Roosevelt is no exception. He is a remarkable young man. He is kind, funny, introspective, contemplative and has a heart of gold. He is one of the good guys. He has made leaps and bounds from the super shy guy I met. He also has one of the all time best smiles! He has dared to dream big dreams, and try hard things. It’s been awesome to watch him to grow and change and become even more of who he was meant to be. Our family is truly blessed to have Roosevelt in our lives. We adore him and I was so happy to be able to capture this huge accomplishment  for him.

An Impacter

I meet Jeri about a year or so ago. The first thing I notice is she is driven. If you ask what she wants she will speak with full confidence you wants  be Civil Rights Lawyer and a talk show host, whichever comes first. She uses the word impacter when she describes important people or what she desires for herself. I decided to look up it’s meaning one day. Impacter – to have a direct effect or impact on. If this girl lives our her dream I have no doubt she will fulfill the meaning and we will say we knew her when.

Thin Blue Line

When I think of the Thin Blue Line I think of Javier. I think of the sacrifice he makes for to his family. His willingness to lay down his life in name of justice and protection. His willingness to carry the burden of seeing the worst of humanity every time he puts his uniform on. The fact he takes Micah 6:8 as a banner “Act justly, love mercy and walk humbly with your God”  I think on the fact that before his is a police officer, he is a Christ follower. Javier is the best of the best. He is the officer you want walking up to the scene. His level headed,  and put anyone at ease way makes him the right man to carry that badge with honor. What a privilege to capture this man and his family.

A fun adventure

Elle’s session was one full of fun adventure. Which may have included a bit of hiking. I loved that she had ideas and thoughts but was also interested in direction and trying different things. It was super hard to narrow these photos down for a sneak peek. This girl is stunning and does not take a bad photo.

Meaning

I love so much when a client suggest a location that has meaning to them.  I love when there is a story behind the scenery. This location was a place that has deep memories and meaning to Eli. It was fun to hear him reminisce about spending countless hours on that bridge and road.  We happen to choose a perfect date for the fall to show off it’s beauty. What a joy to photograph this family in this significant location.

Not as planned

Things may have not gone exactly as we planned it for this session but this family rocked it anyway.  I love that this family embraces chaos and flexibility. I think those are wonderful things to encompass in life. They were willing to do exactly what I needed when I needed them to do it.  They are a pretty remarkable bunch that have obvious love for each other.  It was great fun to take a moment out of the crazy to capture them as a family.
